Our Outreach Project is for people who are homeless, threatened with homelessness or experiencing housing issues.

Support is provided by a knowledgeable team who can help people gain a better understanding of their rights and the options available to them, depending on their circumstances.

Our team offer one to one confidential support and advice with matters such as:-

  • Housing
  • Benefits
  • Budgeting
  • Healthcare
  • Substance misuse
  • Resettlement

In addition to practical advice and support, the team is also skilled at listening and helping people with the emotional impact of their circumstances. We also like to create more positive opportunities and experiences for people. These are often group activities which help people to build confidence and feel more valued in their community.

For activities currently offered, please contact the team for a time table.

We value our client’s opinions, by holding a 6 weekly Client Forum. This allows clients to have a voice and assists us in shaping and improving our service delivery.

We have introduced a client magazine which is produced 3 times a year to inform and entertain.

We encourage our clients to take an active part in the writing of articles and developing concepts for future issues of the magazine.

What our clients say:

The Access Point has had the patience to put up with me and my mental health issues and have been a comfort to me and my stress levels when it comes to conducting my affairs. Thank you
I find Access Point an excellent service to use. I find there is so much advice that is given on many things, from filling in forms, or help with debt issues. The staff are friendly and are always available to give advice. They have a magazine where you are able to give ideas for things in the area. Join group meetings, meet friends or bring friends down here. So I do hope that I may continue to come down here, and many thanks for all your help
I find the staff very helpful and understanding and thank you very much for your kindness
Great positive assistance from all the staff. Always welcoming and a good atmosphere with a helpful smile. Keep up the good work to you all

If you would like to help our Outreach Project’s work, please donate some money or just a little bit of your valuable time. You can really make a difference!

Following the TV programme, Swansea Back on the Streets, a client of ours expressed an interest in telling his own personal story using his own words.

Outreach helped him to gain the knowledge and access the apparatus to enable him to do so.
