Job Title: Night Work Support Assistant
Reports to: Hostel Manager
Location: Paxton St Hostel
Hours: 18 hours a week
Salary: £15,000 pro rata per annum
The Paxton Street hostel provides short-to-medium term licenced accommodation for vulnerable, single homeless people age 18 and over in the Swansea area. We support people to meet their goals so that they can access appropriate accommodation in the community.
As a night work Support Worker Assistant, you will be one of two people present at the project in the nights. This role will include providing a range of helpful activities related to the day-to day running of the project, such as maintaining a safe and peaceful environment through the nights, updating client records, completing tasks assigned by Support Workers and/or Line Managers, and ensuring that night cleaning duties are carried out. The second staff member will be on-hand as on “on-site on-call” member of staff. They will be in the sleepover room should you require assistance in handling emergent events through the night. This part time role is part of a three-week rota wherein you would work three nights followed by 9 nights off, with the possibility of picking up extra shifts depending on need and availability.
